Before we #### on this driver, perhaps he/she is inexperienced and it's also a safe bet that this driver could be under-trained. Now with all of your wisdom, you got any tips for him/her?

I know when I first started driving commercial, I had a million questions and had some anxious moments. Fortunately, I was over 30, but if I was ten years younger and it was my first job that wasn't fast food, I may have been overwhelmed.
Hopefully, OP has a chance to catch his breath and get some answers.TB John and bryan21384 Thank this. -
If they cant get through their chain of communication.
google search of the carrier company, and start calling their business numbers, hell even pretending to be a potential new hire can get you down the line fast to who you need to actually speak to.
their gps routing is wrong or illegal? google maps, google satellite, and an atlas. dont have any of those?
call the customer and ask for directions, they usually have someone knowledgeable to help.
near businesses or friendly residental areas? get walking and ask the locals for help, pen and paper write it down.
Cant make your appt times due to HOS? Shut'r dahn till'a mornin, expect to be a work in.Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
I have yet to see any decent/comprehensive curriculum on HOS. If anyone has a good one it would be a great resource for this site.
TB John Thanks this. -
Gee try the tablet or a phone call......maybe they see you sent messages rapidly and ignored you ...
-
Besides the fact no doubt Western probably gave them a list of contacts and instead of following them he's on here complaining to us ???
-
Perhaps he did follow the list. We don't know everything. When I drove for Western, communication wasn't always their strong suit. For now, I'm reserving judgment.

Call the customer is not as sure of a thing as it used to be. Here in recent years, all they ever say is put it in the GPS. I went to a spot right outside St. Louis once. Called the place with a question about the truck entrance. I asked which street the truck entrance was as it wasn't really that clear, while looking at Google Maps satellite mode. The lady had no idea what the names of either of the streets were. I finally was like #### it......I'll take an educated guess. It was going to be tight either way, but you'll see who's truly a driver at that spot.TB John Thanks this.
