I agree, but with 15 years of nothing but equipment. I can tell you the width, height and where to place it for axle weight without even putting a tape or a height stick or a cat scale. But that takes time.

 

And caring enough to learn it. The idiots aren't able to even guess within 6 inches.

But you're absolutely right, it's got to be an unusual load for me to drag my stick out, because I've been loading the same stuff on the same truck for long enough that I pretty much know within an inch how tall it is.
