Great now I have to fend off the walker crowed coming in for the early bird specials.
Hard enough to get a meal with all the snowbirds jamming up the lot with their RVs

I had an 8oz Flat Iron Steak at the Flying J here in Phoenix and it had to be one of the best steaks I've ever had. Sorry I probably won't be able to get another.

I haven't had a good meal from a J or a Petro either. Have had luck with the TA but ONLY with the ham and eggs breakfast. I usually just eat out of my trk except for mickee dee breakfast. Now no quoting Dr, Seuss ya'll about green eggs and ham!!! :biggrin_25522:

if you like Flying J restaurants enjoy them while you can.
If you hate Flying J restaurants you won't have to hate them much longer.
Denny's is getting them all and will have them all converted by years end.
Denny's is also getting 50 of Pilot's restaurants.
Denny's is in talks with Flying J and Pilot, but it will go through.

I don't know,I like Denny's and IHOP.I've never been a real big fan of the food at the hook..

I guess if it's anything like that Pilot/Denny's combo on route 99? out in Northernish California,it should be ok..I can't remember the name of the town but I think it satarts with an M or an L..

Put me down for supporting the restaurant change..

About the only thing I eat in the Truckstops (Flying J, Petro, TA) is the salad bar and I will be sad to see the Flying J go,one less place to get something healthy for a decent price. Pilot is destoying the industry as far as I'm concerned. I have no use for Denny's.

I looked on pilot's site and found that it is a merger agreement made in order to get flying j out of chapter 11. the flying j brand is currently supposed to remain.

Dude, that's Chowchilla there on Hwy 99 with the Dennys located inside the Pilot. Wasn't always a Pilot, Used to be Great American, I think.
