Hokay, I contacted Hireright via email. I asked, "Is it required by Federal law, if a person fails a prehire drugscreen during orientation, that it be entered on the DAC report. I inquired about the physical abilities failure as well.

Right or wrong, once I receive an answer, if I do that is, I will admit my sin in front of all, if I was wrong.
If I can figure out how to cut and paste Hireright's answer, I will.:biggrin_25525:

    Ride-On Thanks this.

Hireright is the company that does the DAC. Dac is an old acronym for what, I don't recall. Companies requesting background checks use their service. That requires the release from you so they can access the service I think. We still see the word DAC, but really, it's
Hireright now. You can access their site, and get a free "DAC" once per year. They do credit reporting work of some sort as well, to be honest, I've never looked into that service with them.
I request a report every year, but SNI has never reported anything to them. I think possibly companies may wait until you leave them to report anything.
If you were to google Hireright, you can see their site.:biggrin_255:

I guess by proxy I am, my Grandparents came through Nova Scotia back in the 1930's from Scotland, became Canadian citizens, then moved to Michigan. They never had an answer for all that!!:biggrin_2556:

No, I don't think we've ever communicated before, it was just something I saw that you wrote that tipped me off.

I may not be a true Canadian, but we're all North Americans.:biggrin_25514::biggrin_2559:

Just went back and read one of your posts about your job applications, you spell like I do most times. Favor in the U.S., favour, most anywhere else!!

St.Clare Mi. is where I originated. Back in those days either spelling was acceptable in school. We were separated from Courtright On. only by the river. We didn't know there was any difference from one side to the other. Back then you could even spend Ca. money just like U.S.
Then my Dad had us move down to Monroe, talk about culture shock! All of a sudden I had to relearn spelling, and they almost sent me to speech class.:biggrin_25523:
Now, I'm back in the north, Praise the Lord!!!!:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

Well, I quit college before I graduated. I got through my junior year and just got sick of the professors only teaching thirty year old theory. I self educated more than I learned at school. I never held a financial position, but I do take care of the family finances and have personally traded stock and have completed my own tax forms since I was old enough to work. I will only use my knowledge to benefit my family. I have worked as an intern for a hedge fund and learned tremendous amounts from that experience. Truck driving, I fully believe, will mesh a lot better with my personality type than riding a desk. I enjoyed the action and learning experience of the stock trading, but when I saw the owners coming in and sitting at their desks to do paper work and loving that, well, I just knew that is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Also, I have been around many types of people in my life and came from a modest background. I don't mesh so well with the executive types because of them rarely having labored in the ranks. I can hold my own professionally in conversations and the like, but ethically and morally I just don't care for their observations and decisions concerning employees. It is not my cup of tea. I am speaking in very general terms here. Some may call it reverse arrogance - I don't care. I just know in my gut what is correct for me and what isn't.

One of the main things I learned in Finance classes was to earn multiple streams of income, so I will have my pay and trade stocks, plus my wife's salary until she comes out with me.
