5 days is the norm, but you can get up to 7 days with supervisor approval. But 7 days are the max. Except when you have finished training and been out a long time.

I think it's more turf wars in between the different areas Dispatchers.
DM don't do the dispatching. Dispatcher only care about their loads not on your home time. -
no dm do not do the dispatching, but they are the ones the inform dispatch you want to go home, and by what date. Now if the DM does not work with dispatch to make it happen, then you the driver does not get home.
Having a good DM makes a big difference in what loads a driver gets, any pre plans, getting home on time....think of them as a hub that can either get things done, or stop things from happening. -

When a driver takes home time with Stevens? Stevens doesn't allow their drivers to take the truck home do where is it parked?
