we started hauling lumber out of St Johnsbury, VT, if they are offering you a job with the assuption you'll make it home to VT then I'd say this is a good sign freight is picking up.

Makes sense all those trucks eliminated would free up some freight

Newbie here, just started with getting my CDL this week. Looking really hard at TMC. Already applied and waiting to hear something back. Is everything going good there? Home 46 out of 52 weeks? First year pay? Loads available? Thanks for any information. Really want to flatbed...and who could resist the black and chrome?!?

Read thru the forum here, lots of information and posts about TMC from current and past drivers. Or ask a question and I am sure someone will answer it here. Lots of good people on this forum. Also stick around after you start orientation and post your experiences.

    nanaspop Thanks this.

    HEY EVERYBODY,
JUST GOT HOME FROM SCHOOL. TODAY WAS OUR FIRST DAY OUT ON PUBLIC ROADS. I DID O.K. I THINK .
I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY ALLEY DOCKING THOUGH. ANY ADVICE SURE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
ALOT OF GUYS ARE TRYING TO TELL ME TO STAY AWAY FROM FLATBED TRUCKING , BECAUSE OF ALL THE TARPING & LOAD SECUREMENT etc...
I'M SURE NOT AFRAID OF ANY HARD WORK THOUGH , I'VE BEEN DOING HVAC/ ELECTRICAL WORK SINCE I WAS ABOUT 11 OR 12 YEARS OLD.
( MY DAD OWNED THE COMPANY ) WHOEVER SAID THAT (THE BOSS MAN'S SON DOESN'T DO ANYTHING ) IS DEAD WRONG.
OH WELL, THANKS FOR READING THIS AS I RAMBLE, JUST LOOKING FOR ANY INFO. ON TMC TRANSPORT.
    THANKS & BE SAFE,
    NANASPOP:biggrin_25514:

I 2nd the bosses son has it easy BS! lol My family owns a grain elevator and I was always the one inside the old grain bins scoopin out rotten grain wit by hand wit a shovel lol. But anyways I think flatbeddin is the way to go and that's what I plan on doin if I decide to go OTR. A break from the drivin outside workin would be great and a good workout!
