This is the 3rd and last time I'm trying this. Computer keeps tripping to a blue screen after typing for more than a few minutes. GGGGRRRRRRRRRR!

Went to the Gary OC for my return to work checkout ride, and some classwork. My DBL left before I got there, so tried the first available. No problem, he got me set up with what I needed.

I then asked about options I may have as far as anything in my area, the New Third World Country of Michigan, that could get me home more often. Remember, I'd never met this DBL ever! He had the lady for the flex fleet come over, and in the meantime, my old DBL walked in. All 3 of them listened to my wanderings for at least 5 minutes. I couldn't believe all the options these 3 came up with. 3 DBL's at once, with a lot of other things going on. And all 3 stopped to help me out. I really was floored by that alone.
The lady said to come see her the next morning when "I" had time. So I did.
Looks like I'm going to be out 2 weeks, then home 2. That's what "I" decided, not SNI. And turns out there are many more options for me. The key thing is, the truck doesn't sit for more than a week. If the wheels ain't turning, no ones earnin'. That makes sense to me.
I've only been here 1 1/2 years, how decent can it get?
Just wanted to share this, I'm floored. I've been with 3 other large companies that said, "We Care", but not like these guys. IMO, SNI really shows it.
I've heard guys with 20 plus years say it used to be better. This seems pretty bloody good to me!!!

There was more, but this computer thing is shaky, so shortened things quite a bit.:biggrin_25525:

Johnday, that's good news. It sure is nice to hear of companies working WITH their employees instead of AGAINST them. Sure does sound like they really care about the individual. Glad your able to get back out there and be safe when you get on the road. Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

Good deal man! Just goes to show how smoothly things work sometimes....

On your computer, have you tried to restart it in safe mode and run diagnostics? It may show what he problem is.

Ya, you're right, it really looks like something I can work with for awhile. Still hard to swallow though. I'm still wondering if I'll wake up!

I think what happened was it got hot. I'm at my house down in Monroe right now on my laptop. No furniture other than a chair and footstool to slump on. I had my laptop, on my lap, of all places. Once I let it cool down, the problem appears to have gone away.
Yepper, I might be old, but I STILL have a lap!:biggrin_2559:

The first Dell laptop I got was back in '03, I always sat in the recliner with the computer on my lap. Well that battery got pretty warm- I fell asleep with the laptop on my lap and woke up 4 hrs later with a nasty burn on my leg.

Ya, I can see that! I've sorta got it wedged between my legs right now to let some air circulate. I hope I didn't screw it up.:biggrin_25525:

I told you that koolaid smelled pretty good.:biggrin_25523:. Just kidding, JD. I was really super impressed with the corporate welcome video they showed us today. Most were bored with it, but having a different perspective, I was impressed with the attitude of the "decision makers" and how they appeared to be so respectful of employees on all levels. Normally that level management doesn't seem to be so concerned with what the actual revenue makers have to say or think. I am keeping my mind open and not developing an opinion until I get to the real part of the job. I am really glad it is working to your's and your wife's benefit.

I am not on my computer so I will not report until I get home tomorrow night or Sunday morning. I have left with a positive attitude. There are some issues (minor) with my TE. I will explain later. I haven't met him yet, but issues with trying to contact him.

    Take care.
