Or a change to the split sleeper berth provision, that would allow one to extend the 14 hours by the time spent in the sleeper. Just another Idea. And with electronic logs, and EOBR,s would be very easy to keep in compliance.

It's not the electronic logs that tell me to stop. It's the law. Whether you have electronic logs or not, if you cannot follow the law then quit now. Do us all and yourself a favor. At least Noe you haven't been charged with causing someone's death yet.

When? I have been out on training and my log book has been a disaster! It's friggin 3rd grade level stuff and I have had issues with it lol.

I got to say, I have used electronic logs with another company and I loved it. Yeah, there is really no way you can cheat but that is good. I like to run "legal"... And even if you forgot for a second to log yourself down as "driving", if the truck starts moving, after less than a quarter mile it will automatically log you down as driving... I would rather do electronic.

Say you got a load running by the house, something comes up and neeed to be there right away, 2 hrs from ur house elog shuts ya down you neeed your 10, would you like to have that option of being crative with your looseleaf paper log book? I can adapat to the ever changing truckin industry but some things are fine just the way they are!!!

it is not the elogs that say you can not drive, it is the law, and your choice to violate the law multiple times by driving longer than you should, and falsifying your paper log, or driving to long on an e log. It is your choice, just easier to catch you violating the law with electronic logs.
Rattlebunny Thanks this.
