There is no reason at all.

Anyone want to guess what the most aerodynamic MASS-PRODUCED car was last year?

:biggrin_25523: Higher or lower? You don't even know how many feet are in a mile, and you expect us to believe all this 9/11 cover up crap you are spewing? Stick your conspriacy garbage where the sun don't shine. And these people are driving trucks. God help us.

Somethin's goin on if you claim yours is gettin over 6.8 and the one we drove only got 5.5. Thats quite a difference.

No fuel saver 3000 or whatever the heck that fuel saver device thing is that most of the truckstops sell in the shops?

Although the governer does suck now because we have over a year's worth of experience, more than it did when we were fresh outta school, I have legally logged 626 miles a day in just under 11 hours drivin a truck that only "cruises" 62 mile an hour.

I try to use Lucal Oil fuel conditioner every 3-5 tank-fulls only because ULSD doesnt have the lubricity as it once had before all the EPA BS. It seems to pay off, though. Its not uncommon for us to get 8mpg fully loaded. Thats ofcourse on flat ground, though...

    Yes it is...Quite a difference.

What do you think is "goin' on?"

I don't even know what that is...But I don't get my truck worked on at truckstop shops.

I legally logged 771 miles today...

It's not uncommon for me to get 7.5+ fully loaded but sometimes I get 5.0 too...Depending on conditions.

But month to month I've been averaging 6.8+ pretty steadily.

Hey phroziac how are you suppose to know all the garbage you did on post #74, You are not a teenager any more,.
Another thing the folks that kill JFK were kind of old back in 2001 to be flying airliners, don't you think?

Grow up before you go around making this kind of statements, if you don't want to be the laughing stock every where you go.

And for the records 1988 I purchase a new IROC-Z Camaro 5.7 that will easily do 25 mpg and my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2 did 21 mpg all day long, but I also had a cummins BCIII 350 back in the early 90's that did 6 mpg with 80k all the time from Las Vegas to all over California and Utah on a COE so go figure.

Why do most people on this forum have a negative attitude? In my mind anything is possible. Somebody has to push big truck engine manufacturers to do better. We all know they can.

Good example are SUVs. Before the recession the best they coulachieve is 20Mpg on highway. Today they are getting 31Mpg. That is one huge improvement.

They did it because they had to!

I dont give a god #### what you think about me. That's not a useful measurement. I prefer the metric system, "standard" has been obsolete for hundreds of years. Seriously, #######.

Garbage like you are why I'm getting sick of trucking. You're ruining this industry.

I did not mean that those same people did it. I meant, the same group of people did it. IE, the gubbermint. I also dont give a god #### what anyone thinks about me.

Cool. I love camaros and cabovers. If it didn't cost so much to own multiple vehicles, I'd have a camaro. My volvo has a lot more room in it than a camaro..and I need it! :)

    I agree.

Also, people are negative here because they're on the internet. There is no risk of being punched in the face, etc, for what they say. They think they can get away with being immature kids. It's the same thing on every other forum. This is one of the BETTER ones! Sad, eh?

Obsolete for hundreds of years? Oh man! HOW DO YOU SUPPOSE ALL THE STUFF THAT GOT BUILT IN THIS COUNTRY EVER GOT BUILT WITH THAT OBSOLETE SYSTEM OF MEASURMENT IN PLACE????
"Standard" Is what we use here and we like it just the way it is...Perhaps you ought to consider moving to Canada, I hear they're on the metric system.

    Besides, You're always there anyway.

I know this wasn't directed at me but I feel compelled to respond anyway because I see you getting way worked up over a few ####### comments.

There have always been smartasses in this industry and there have always been dumasses too....
Lot's of things are ruining this industry But smartasses and dumasses are not really among those things....Well, OK maybe the dumasses are come to think of it!

    Wow!

Yes it is one of the better ones...I've met quite a few people from these forums in "real life" and have yet to be punched in the face or even almost punched in the face for that matter...Now I'm sure that there are those among us that wouldn't mind punching me in the face or at least being there to see it happen but, I just hasn't happened yet.

    But I guess there's always a first time...:biggrin_2559:
