A mentor can come from any terminal in the company. No good answer to this as mentors vary just like the students.
I am hearing about waiting for a mentor for a week or 2 in some terminals. -
thanks rugtrucker, my recruter said that after i have completed the 4weeks in millington the ill go home for 1week possible then go out with my mentor for the 6weeks, if you had some idea of what i might be expected to perform that also would be helpful thanks

Cowwboy definately go to school at TN Tech. Probably get the lotto to cover $600 of the tuition. I work for Swift. If my work history would have been better I would be with Crete. Lots more money to start after orientation, APU's etc.
From the orientation Holiday Inn Marlowe's sends a pink Caddie limo to haul you to their BBQ. Good food! And hand them a menu that you get from your hotel they discount your meal. Flip your driver a buck. -
Very good advice. We had a kid that wasn't going to be told he couldn't drink. Got pee pee tested during school at Millington and was out the door the next day. In week 3. So he owed all $3,900 and didn't get his CDL. What they told us was, "If you cannot go 3 weeks without a drink, then this job may not be for you."
Might want to check out Millis. They have their own school and it's $2,500 but i don't know if it's interest free like Swift is.
There are several fast food and sit down restaurants near the motel, but the rooms have full kitchens. Most of the roommates will pool their money together and buy groceries if you ask them to. There is a Freds right across the street from the hotel, and a grocery store about a half mile walk.
