I am not into conspiracy thearies, but . . . Doesn't it seem odd that this exlosion where there were three leaks, not one, as would be if it were from the source they claimed, right at the time that Obama made his announcement that they would look into drilling off the east coast, and at the the Obama made his push for "green technology," and at the time Obama made an announcement that he was requesting an additional $5 billion for "green technology? Was the explosion intentional to show what could happen with oil drilling; was it to put free enterprise businesses out of business and lower the food supply like they did when Russia was going communist (remember, they cut off water to many of the California farms as well)? Sounds fishy to me -- just some food for thought!

I realize that the gasoline I buy at the local BP station could very well have been refined by Chevron, Exxon, or Conoco. And I also realize that the gasoline I buy at Conoco could very well have been refined by British Petroleum.

The service station on the corner says "BP" on it - not Chevron, Mobil, Texaco, Citgo, Shell, Phillips, Exxon, or any other brand - it says "BP". I understand that it's most probably a franchisee-owned service station, and not owned outright by British Petroleum.

But some of the money that I spend there ends up in the corporate coffers of British Petroleum - the same British Petroleum that has managed through their negligence, stupidity, and incompetence to turn my beloved Gulf of Mexico into something that's beginning to resemble the La Brea tarpit!

I know that taking my $50 per week fuel purchase elsewhere isn't going to drive BP into bankruptcy, but I hope it sends a signal to the corporate HQ of BP about how disgusted many of us are about the way they've handled this affair.

By pledging to cover all the expenses 100% including lost income for states and individuals? How dare they.

It would really help if those against drilling for oil could come up with a viable

alternative to our fossil fuel usage.

And by viable, I mean tomorrow.

So you can see the future? Even though they have already said they will cover it to everyone.
