18lbs in 9 weeks?!! Man! It's awesome!!!! I'm athletic, but I'm struggling to lose my last few lbs to get the perfect shape!
I would sign up for that concentration camp just for their dieting program alone!)))

Yep I'm in a 32 waist again ... was pushing a 38! Althouh hunger pain makes it difficult to sleep some times :biggrin_25521:
I could make this kind of money at Burger King and get a free meal each shift out of that deal. I keep reminding myself that I am paying my dues and better days are ahead.

Well, here at werner when you sit, you sit. You know it happens. And they do everything they can to not pay you a penny for it. I'm missing a good $200 of layover pay now that i think about it. But even then, $40 a day? How is that even close to fair? Werner ain't the only one that does it, but....when you're sitting for 4 days, making no money....You do tend to get pissed off and start complaining on TTR....
Sometimes its comfortable for me, lately it feels like i'm better off at mcdonalds.
I kinda dont like my dispatcher. He's pretty liberal with the "misc ex" button though. I've been switched around twice, first one had too many trucks on his board, second one is no longer on the account. Hell, mine went on vacation for the week and didn't even tell me. I have some new chick that doesn't know what she's doing! Ugh!!! She even made me call her to tell me that i need to do a canadian briefing. Ok, I understand that you dont know i go there all the time, but....to make me call you and wait on hold for 15 minutes to tell me a single sentence? LOL. Just send it in a message!! :)

I'm not really complaining about her, she sounds pretty and I just think it's funny, but I'm a little annoyed that my FM just dissapeared without a word! Anyway this girl must be new because i've never talked to her before, and I've talkd to every dispatcher on midwest.... :)

Actually, there's a trick to get all of those supplies without ever going to a terminal. But you'll still end up going eventually.

The channahon drop yard can supply you with all of that with none of the hassle of a terminal. Just be careful with the shop manager...he's got that DMV attitude.....

When I used to work for Werner I'd park at the Pilot and walk into the Dallas Terminal. Or you can park on the side of the Indy terminal and walk in.

I know exactly who you are talking about and folks he's not kidding about that DMV attitude. I was there last Thursday and the dude clocked out at 3 while everyone else was there late. Completely unhelpful. Its obvious this place could run well without him at the helm. All the guys in the shop are great though. I wish I could remember the name of this one guy who works there. He's an older, skinny guy with a mustache. He is always willing to lend a hand and tell you what he has that he can give you. Other than that you don't want to get stuck at the Channahon drop yard.

I got busted by the guard once when I did that when I used to work for Werner. The guy was probably brand new. He asked me where the truck was, and I told him at the Pilot. He refused to let me through that day. Any other day, I got away with it, except for that one day.

Heh. When i met him, i had been told to take a load from the yard to channahon "when it gets out of the shop in a few hours". was also told it did not need to stop at the detroiter since the channahon shop was inspecting it also. I wonder if the driver that was originally under the load quit because of him. Anyhow, i went in his office to ask about it...he starts going off, and says if anyone calls him again asking about it hes gonna redtag it for "another ####### week!". He also left a bunch of stuff wrong with it because parts had to be ordered and he was pissed off at omaha, and said that if they can let them go with stuff broken, so can he!

    what an ###.

He probably figured you were a good buddy. Why didnt you just keep walking? If you're a werner employee he cant stop you.

I used to walk out of the terminal to the pilot lol.
