I took an eye exam to get my permit. I almost failed because my right eye was having a spasm. Do I have to get my vision retested when I go from permit to full CDL A? And same question for when you transfer from WI CDL to your local state? Thanks.

I would not think you would have to take it again. When I went back to NC to upgrade my CDL they just took the paperwork and sent it to me in the mail a week or so later with no additional stuff to do.
A pretty long day. Had to wait 17 hours to get unloaded on my first stop. I arrived about 1:30 pm but they said no go although people were working there until 11 pm so who knows. Got unloaded by 6 am and headed off to the second stop which only had two pallets to come off and then proceeded to the third to a NAPA place. Took the guy 2 hours to offload 8 pallets. Managed to get a preplan while waiting as I told them no place close to park in Boston. Ran over to Albany and picked up a load of paper going to Norcross, GA (just N of Atlanta) for another nice 1000+ run. Holed up in Newburgh, NY tonight and going to get a very early start tomorrow morning to try and get 600 or so miles knocked out tomorrow. Figure they will get me a load going back through home after this one so the week figures to be a very nice one.

Don't you get your CDL in WI? Then just transfer to your home state?

Does the cost of the WI CDL need to be paid or is that part of the money I already gave Roehl? I already paid PA to get my permit. Will I need to pay them again?

Yeah you have to pay for it. I think it was 80-85.00.

I believe its part of the $185 you had to send in. $100 for your seat in school, and $85 for the registration for the CDL.
