There is no prohibition regarding those little propane bottles you screw into the side of a grill. It is not a reportable (1,000 lb) quantity to qualify as hazmat. For safety, though, I would keep it in a tool box attached to the outside of the truck or carry it in some other manner that does not require it to be kept in the side box, under the bunk or otherwise in the cab. You never know if there's a manufacturing flaw that will allow it to leak.
That said, though, check with your company...there may be a policy there about it.Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
What about a quart of coleman cooking fuel for their gas fired stoves??? Are those illegal? Clearly I will not cook inside the cab with one of those.
The reason why I ask is that I have a small one burner coleman stove that runs off of gas. I use it for camping all the time b/c it works like a champ. I have both proapane and gasoline fired stoves but prefer the gasoline stove because it works better at high altitude and at colder temperatures.
So is a quart of coleman cooking fuel (which is pretty much gasoline) allowed? -
Coleman fuel is used to make meth. I'd rather not go that route with the cops even though you are innocent. They see that, they would definately do a full truck search.

Yup. Get a propane stove - the cylinders are more readily available along the road.

I had a couple of those little green bottles I think were being referred to here. Bears saw them and never turned a hair. However, if you look like a POS, act like a POS and smell like a POS, that might get their attention.

I buy chicken breasts from Walmart that are boneless and skinless. Individually wrapped. I can put them in foil sprinkle my seasonongs on them and bake in my lunch box oven. You need to drain the water 45 miutes or so into it. If not it will be like boiled
: drop some fresh green beans in and cook another 30 minutes.
Turkey lunch meat with pepper jack cheese on bread, wrap in foil and maked a toasted sandwich. -
You can cook hobo style with the heat of the engine too. Wrap your stuff to cook in foil a few layers thick and put it up by the turbo or somewhere it will stay that gets nice and hot when you're driving. When you get stopped, dinner is ready. Had a guy show me that a few years ago. He was throwing down on some rib roast and potatoes.

Dude you are paranoid.
They can cook meth in 2 liter soda botles now without flame. Gonna leave them at home?

Get FREEZER Ziplocks!
I cut up fresh broccoli, cauliflower and buy those rolled baby carrots. Buy baby spinach and put it in the Zippies.
