    :biggrin_25521:hello everyone....i work for swift and there idle policy is something i just cant tolerate i have a little over one year exp and am in need of help finding a place i can work with the experience i have that has trucks with apus or one that isnt bothering you about idle as much as swift does...i only idle when im sleeping...i used to have tas but it doesnt work anymore and they wont fix it....my dm says they want me to be at 10% percent idle but i have to stay under 20....i am at around 28.....i cannot sleep in the heat....and i wake up 3 and 4 times in the middle of the night to turn my truck off because i put the ac on full blast so it will wake me when i freeze so i know when to turn my truck off and then wake back up when im hot in fear that if i dont do that and leave the truck on ill get fired....it sux.....i need to know of somewheres i can work that has trucks with apus...i was gonna go with heartland express but i got three tickets a little over a year ago all in the same month....two in my truck and one in my car....so i dont know if thats gonna be a hurdle for everywheres i try and apply for but its the only tickets ive had in like 4 yrs...none of them was wreckless....two speeding and passed a scale....i make 34cpm and i avg 2500 miles a week...some weeks 3000 plus some weeks 1500.....im out no less than a month at a time....sometimes i stay out for up to three months at a time.....not that they make me i just do....anyways....i love to make money....and so it goes with out saying that i dont mind miles but i do need my ten.....but anyways....pls help....thx

    those tickets are a deal killer!
    start checking each company you're interested in and ask them their idle policy/apu situation. Then if they meet your criteria, apply.

    Not sure what you need? If you are not happy with Swift, you might want to apply elsewhere. There's a lot of freight moving now, so you should have no trouble finding loads to haul.

    I agree with the previous post. For the speeding tickets, simple. slow down.

    send a message to safety and they will get your auto idle fixed. when you explain that you can't sleep because of the heat and its unsafe they will talk to a terminal near where you are and get you fixed.

    not that I am trying too be a smart ##### but SWIFT=Sure Wish I Had a Fast Truck how on eatrh do you get a sppeding ticket in one of those trucks?

    its easy! just push the the clutch in going down hill. Qualcomm goes nuts safety starts calling and you get to laugh your behind off.
