    DEPENDS ......

If it is legal I don't have a problem with it.

Well it seems like y'all don't echo. hmmmm seriously?? i run a stryker 490 and well i don't use my echo but i don't have a problem understanding what they are saying when they have the echo on.. maybe every once in awhile. I think it has alot to do with your external speaker honestly.

The speaker has nothing to do with it, nor will it compensate for someone that has their echo adjusted to the point of where it sounds like the transmitter is stepping on his/her own transmission.

Adjusted right it's not bad sounding....too much and it's just a bunch of noise. Most people overdo it.

I have told this once and will tell it again. Was running down the road and some guy was talking and he had echo setup. After some chatting I convinced him to adjust the echo till it sounded better. We went little by little till he sounded the best. He said that it was turned off. I and other drivers comented on how much better it sounded.

Echo is useless. My connex 4300 has it and it is never turned on. People only use it to try and convice others that they has a better more expensive setup. What little do they know.

Well I do use both echo and reverb, albeit sparingly. Both set between 9 and 10 o'clock.

I agree. If echo were so great, why don't TVs, stereos, concerts, movie theaters, recording studios, cell phones and a bunch other stuff use it?

Sometimes, I wish I had a CB with echo on it just so when someone gives me fits for sayin somethin about them talkin from the bottom of a well, I could crank it all the up and yell,

Some claim that it gives that concert sound. Tell me this, would you listen too. A properly recorded song that was done is a sound deadend studio or a live concert? That "Hall" sound is not all that great.

Anything over 1/4 turn on either knob is past
    acceptable IMO.
I also believe both knobs should be centered "together",not one over or under the other.

Cant speak for the turbo boards,I cant stand the sound of them and will never own a radio with it installed.
