I try to keep an upbeat spin on my story telling. I only wish this was a fabricated story....Thanks for compliments!

I got my last drop off this morning. It wasn't too bad, it only took Kraft foods half the morning to unload 15 pallets of rolls of shrink wrap. I was asked by some rocket scientist why I was at this particular warehouse to unload. I told him that I would agree with him that I only transport this stuff all over the country and that I might have trouble doing computer work, but one thing I can do is read and the address on my bills say's to deliver it here. I can assure you he didn't like my response. So now I'm sitting at the Pilot in Madera playing the phone game. They told me it might be Friday before I'm loaded. I asked Louie if I should idle the truck the next 2 straight days or should I get a motel. I'm waiting for an answer. Talk soon, oh by the way, Garylobo is 50 miles north of me going through the same thing.

This is the one thing that worries me about refer. All the waiting! Not rolling= no $ !!

Knowing your experience with Calex from this thread, I betting it's a motel! Maybe Garylobo can bobtail down and buy you dinner! LOL

    :)

Ummm, No. Garylobo is much too cheap to buy John dinner, unless it's IMO'S Pizza in St. Louis. Then he can have all he wants. :biggrin_25514:

Hey Gary, The video says they ship it all over the country.

MAYBE, since Calex does such a great job pre-planning you, you could have a IMO pizza shipped to where your load delivers in CA, drive there in time to pick it up, then get one of the workers to let you heat it up in their oven at home.........

    OK, nevermind.....

    :)

I just checked, and there are TWO IMO locations in Kansas City. Gonna go try it this weekend! Will report in after! LOL

    Any reccomendations? I like pepperoni.

I got my dispatch right after lunch. I have one pick for a load of grapes in Mecca CA south of Coachella tomorrow. It delivers Wednesday at noon at my favorite receiver in Pottsville PA. My reset is up at 3am so I'm in a motel for the night. I told dispatch that idling the truck for one night in 100 degree heat was bad enough, but two nights is a little much. So I was told to bring the receipt in and get it signed off for reimbursement. All you new drivers reading this, it's never a problem if you handle it the right way. Yelling and screaming would get you another night in the truck, handling it in a civil, professional manner gets you in a motel instead. Garylobo got his dispatch this morning and has 3 pickups today going to Milton PA, my second best receiver. I guess he'll be a day ahead of me. The saga will continue.........

You're absolutely right JohnBoy. You get more flies with honey then you do with vinegar.
