I don't see any troulb with this company and we were told that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE LEASE OPTION .... you can be a solo company team compamy dedicated ,route or lease operator your CHOICE of what you want to do here at CR England so all the bad advice must be haters or people that cant understand ENGLISH to well .. If there is one thing that is certain its every new driver will have a different experience during training, I like your out look so far cowbow, but don't dismiss everything some of these long timers are trying to tell you. I did my training a few years ago at CR ENGland (Slavery) and went on to solo company driving for them, (out of slavery and into the working poor) You have to start somewhere and cr is as good a place as any willing to train you (nice trucks) just keep your expectations real put your time in, then you can move on too greener paydays good luck god speed.
P.S Don't even try to fool their #### log computer.Last edited: Jun 22, 2010

Let's do a little math here. As a C.R. England lease-operator, after all fees are paid, at 2800 miles you're averaging 15 cents a mile. At that rate you'll have to drive 533.333 miles to make $80.000 a year.
Good luck!

Good Golly Miss Molly!

Them guys at CRE are gettin' faster.
In just two days they've managed to shrink Cowboy's mind enough that he considers truth to be "bad advice" provided by "haters or people who can't understand ENGLISH" (to well).
That was sure a quick evaluation.
If that's his conclusion after two days, I can only imagine what we'll
hear in a week or two.
:smt075
Blinded by the light and just see what they're told they see,
and disregard the rest? :smt103:smt102

How many of their new drivers will actually experience training?Cowboy "don't see no troulb" with CRE.
Good "outlook"?
Or better look out?Maybe he'll believe you....... snipped .....Not everyone would agree with that, amigo.YuP!
That's all ya gotta do.
How hard can it be?
Don't let CRE fool YOU, either.
ThinK!
Probably have to work weekends to do that.
Ya reckon.

Thanks AfterShock I have no blinders on but in my oppion I dont see anything wrong at CRE just my observation I talked to lease operators and company operators both have good and bad things to say but hey it's trianing and a job not everything will be what you want at first but I am still waitting for the hammer to drop and I change my mind I have not dismissed any advice from you real truckers but in two day I study for the permit test and passed with only missing one question and knew nothing before I got here , So that was a good point . Was tired as hell but I worked hard and studied the information given to me . But then I did talk to a lease operator and he only had his truck for 5 weeks before he turned it in but he blew it had a load going from Salt lake city to Denver Colorado and did not drop it in time he was Late by 29 hours so who's fault was that and that they didn't give any more loads after his late drop ????? But thanks alot there AfterShock will keep ya'll informed and trust me I dont bite my toung or suger coat any thing I just got out of the Marine Corps on 12 19 2008 after 27 years I say my peace !! So thanks again !!

yea the 30,000 American drivers aren't willing to work for chicken feed. But we have to work so we try to find the best jobs we can in an industry that has been torn apart by mega companies and politics. I was a recruiter in this business a long time ago, thats why i drive a truck now. if you can't figure that out i sure as hell can't explain it
-
I do not work for them nor do I wish to but I have to ask, Why is it every single post on this website from someone who likes their job they are called recruiters. I like my job I am sure as hell not a recruiter and I work for one of those companies that lots of people here seem to dislike. Good luck with your choice hope it all works out.

OK these ######## lied to me about company drivers they dont have any spots for company but company team at 16 cents a mile who the can live off that #### ?? So now I have found a another guy that will team with me and we'll do a 6 months lease to try it out any advice ??????? I am PISSED
-
Cowboy there is a really good article in the new Land Line mag. They talk about this 6 month lease deal that England is doing. Please try to read it before you sign anything. Man this is a bad thing and they are going to put the screws to you and start twisting. I wish you success but please look at your options
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Cowboy! HALT: RETREAT: DUCK AND COVER! That has been CRE's main line of attack! I bet you they will also tell you to go home and they'll "call you" when a truck comes open! Why don't they put you in a lease truck until a company truck comes open as they are the exact same trucks!
Face it Guney, they KNEW there were NO company trucks available when they had you on the first pitch! Do you think a company that size doesn't know where every single truck and trailer they own are located? Hell the Corps knows where every single idem they own is so why not a multi million dollar company? They take drivers and rookies as morons that can't figure simple things out!
DO NOT DO THE LEASE! You have no idea about anything to do with trucking! Yes you maybe could handle a platoon of Marines but there is a big difference between trucking and anything else! You'd do better as a POW than this screwing you are about to receive! This pisses me off the way they actually screw us Vets! And they do it and lose no sleep at night either!
If things fall apart I hope you have read this thread I made so you know how to CYA before you even put the key into any truck CRE puts you in!
http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...s-advice/94252-what-do-when-you-get-your.html
Do NOT just take any truck they throw at you if you do take that fleece! Look at every lease truck there and take the BEST one! If they get fussy about it then ask them if they will fix EVERYTHING on it that is bad when you take it to another shop for an inspection like the nearest dealer and tell them they pay for the inspection as well you would "feel" better if someone who isn't in charge of the lease is checking out this so called"investment" you are about to make! Also ask them what the difference is with trucks that have 100,000 miles on it to one with 500,000. Ask them if you can have a copy of the lease to let your lawyer read it before you sign and if not that should tell you something there that all isn't right in CRE Land! A tactical retreat then is advised! But if anything either read the WHOLE thing before you sign and use a yellow marker and highlight anything you have a question about and also write page and paragraph on a separate paper. Call OOIDA ( Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association) and ask them what they think about the CRE lease program that is if they don't fall to the floor and LTFAO! (816) 229-5791. If they want to rush you through the paperwork then play dumb and dumber and drag it out or just walk out! But make sure if you do to have THEM sign a release letter saying that you came in as a company driver but they "put down what they told you about no company slots and "but there are lease trucks available" and that you refused the option to lease. This is to CYA from them hitting your "DAC" report with a "quit" mark as a lot of companies do as you are actually on the "payroll" when you got on that bus and the reason why I advocate going to orientation in your own ride or a rental! You aren't into them for as much money that way and you have a ride home when things get FUBARed later! go read that link I posted and get the guy who might do the lease also. And that's something else. Which one of you is going to do the lease and how much will you pay each other and who is going to pay taxes and so on! That is NOT a good idea and ask CRE about that also as it sounds like they are passing another buck around and now getting you to pay another cost that they won't! Remember a lease is the same as being a company driver BUT you are paying to work! You pay their truck costs, fuel costs, maintainance costs and your OWN health insurance and disability insurance and NO Workers Comp is NOT insurance! It's CRAPOLA! It pays you about what you pay in taxes! Yes it will pay for an INJURY but what if say you get the plague or heart attack or something not covered by WC? And disability Insurance like that duck commercial? Let me tell you a little story. I came down with a little bout with cancer in April of 2008. Oh my insurance covered me pretty well BUT because i had no disability insurance the bills didn't get paid and now I'm going through bankrupcy! That is the most important thing as a business person you can do for your self. It will help to pay the bills until you get back on your feet! There is no "I can't afford it" but in these made to lose L/P you just might have to decide to eat or pay needed costs!
Think real hard on this as they are now pulling a flanking maneuver on you and you'll feel like you're at the botton of the valley at Little Big Horn!
Thanks for your service!
Good luck Marine!
