Actually yes I do:biggrin_25523:, I could go and park my rig
in the back near the dock and go inside and shop which I won't
    do.

And since these two stores are near my home, the one that won't
allow trucks on the lot being closer, I could go to either one when
I'm in my personal vehicle. But I choose to go to the one that allows
trucks even though it is a little further.:biggrin_25522:

Its your money to spend wherever you choose , But I'm sure the hourly workers at the walmart that you don't buy from care that you choose not to buy from there, and the shareholders of Walmart also probably don't care as well. Your dollar still goes to their bottom line.

Again yes, it's the principal that they want trucks to come and
deliver their goods to make a profit but don't want large vehicles
    (read trucks) on their lot.

And most people that go to a business to patronize them usually
come in through the main entrance and with their gate there it's
just like saying your not welcome here.

You are talking two different tow scenarios. One is a relocation of an illegally parked vehicle, in which the law may permit him to charge you in order to be released....and the only way he can guarantee that is to either block you in or to be hooked to you in order to prevent you from leaving. He only gets paid for heading out if you pay him. If he lets you go without collecting any money from you, he just drove out there for nothing.

If you (or your company) call him out to tow you after a breakdown, he's not going to hook to you until he's talked to you to see what the problem is. If he can fix you to get you on your way again, there's no need to hook to you. He's pretty sure he'll get paid, because you (or your company) called him out.

Back when I was driving wreckers, we had a list of cars to relocate from an apartment complex...they were driven by people who didn't live there, but were attending class at the adjacent community college. While I was hooking to one, the owner of another car on my list showed up and was getting into her car. I explained to her that her car was on my list, that she was not to park in that lot again or her car would be towed. She must have called her friend, because she came back and tried telling me that I COULDN'T tow the car I was hooking to because it was a faculty member's car. I said "Is she here, with the keys in her hand to move it?"
"No, but she's on her way"
"Then she's not here, is she?"
"No, but she's right over there and on her way"

I looked across the grassy field where the lady I was talking to was pointing and saw a lady running toward me...but she was still several hundred yards away.

"So then she isn't standing here talking to me, with the keys in her hand ready/willing/able to move the vehicle herself."

I got in the truck, and I left...car in tow. At the time, Illinois law required tow operators to release the car to the owner if the owner had the keys and could remove the vehicle from the property on their own...didn't matter if the car was hooked up ready to roll, if the owner showed up with the keys and could move it, we had to unhook without getting paid. Since then, the law has changed...the tow operator can charge 1/2 the tow fee if the owner shows up.

I had another one...working with another truck to grab two cars from an apartment complex. The owner of the car I was hooking to showed up with the title to the car...but no keys, and she talked to the OTHER tow truck operator (not the one hooking to her car):biggrin_25526: Anyway, the other guy explained to her that the title doesn't mean anything...she needs the keys so that she can move the car on her own. She went back inside to get the keys, and then I left with her car. She never talked to me...so I assumed she was the owner of the car the other guy was hooking to...

Sometimes I miss those days...good times....lots of fun....

I'm not a trucker, but hubby is. He's never complained about not being able to park in their lots, but then I don't think he's tried, nor has he ever delivered to them, Sam's Club, yes. But he's not had a problem parking in their lot.

But anyway, that being said. I won't shop at Walmart if I can avoid it for another reason. My reason is as a shopper. One day I went into the Walmart in Folsom, CA and proceeded to pick up some items that I needed. I went to the cashier and had her ring up my items and I paid for them. I saw my merchandise was not bagged. I asked her if she was going to bag them and she said I had to BUY a bag. I said, "excuse me"? For twenty five cents per bag, I could buy my bags to carry out the merchandise I'd just purchased from them. The cashier informed me we were killing the planet. I said, "the tree-huggers are the ones who are going to kill us, who are you kidding anyway?" I was floored. If she had informed me before I purchased these items, it could have been less ugly for me, I would have just walked out without buying anything. But no, she told me after the transaction was complete. People can keep their politics to themselves when they're taking my money. I don't want to hear it and I certainly don't need to be insulted by it either. Luckily hubby was with me and we carried our items out of the store. He was trying to keep up with me and not doing a good job of it either. I was fuming.

Normally I let things like this roll off my back.........not this time. I'm getting older and my patience is pencil thin. I did not like the cashier taking her holier than thou attitude with me. I was very insulted, justifiably so since I just spent my money in their store. Anyway, with hubby trailing behind me we exit out of the store. I usually bite my tongue in these situations and walk away. I decided it was the principle of the thing and went right back in the entrance to talk to the manager. I go back to the supervisor and ask her why the cashiers wait until the transactions are completed before they tell us we have to buy a bag to carry out purchased items and she says it's a test that three of their stores are doing. I tell her that I will forgo shopping at their stores. I don't like being treated as a test subject. I said courtesy would have been telling me before I bought these items that I would have to carry them out in my arms. She said she was sorry. I can accept that they are sorry. But I still won't shop there if I can avoid it. The only thing I still buy there is my medicine, it would be a hassle to transfer my prescription to another store. I shop at Target now. I like their stores better anyhow and they have a better selection of things too.

That's a Calif***ya thing, NOT a Wal-Mart thing. The Wal-Marts around here will put every item in it's own separate baggie if that's what you want 'em to do.

Do you not haul freight to them to make a profit? Exactly what is your point, if you have one. If I owned a business why would I be obligated to let you park there just because you delivered goods to me? After all did I not pay you to deliver those goods?
Maybe you should be able to shop a Wal Mart for free, after all you delivered their good so that they could make a profit. Sound silly? So does your argument.

Hey TW, perhaps you should have taken your purchases directly to the service desk and demand they refund your money! That seems to me the best way to handle this type of crap.
