Introduce yourselves here!
This is my chance to introduce myself. The following words describe me well; Husband, Father, Grandfather, American, Veteran (101st Airborne), Corporate Owner, Ex-Owner Operator, Company Driver, Student of Life, Twenty Years’ Experience as a Driver and Religious God Fearing Human Being, not necessarily in that order.
Are you a trucker?
Currently I am driving locally in the Southern California Area.
What are your interests?
I LOVE TO FISH!!!!
I am just becoming politically involved in yours’, mine and our Country. REGISTER TO VOTE AND VOTE!!
Why did you join the forum? What made you decide to "get involved"?
The reason is one and the same, personal economics and the unjust, unfair and dishonest treatment of drivers in general (I forgot just how bad the industry was, is and probably will continue to be.
My promise to myself is; to be an honest and fair advocate to ALL drivers.

PS I forgot to add an interest; BBQ Smoking food, ribs, pulled pork, prime rib, and just about any food; LOW and SLOW

 

Funny you should mention indirect cooking, 25th wedding anniversary coming up and when we first met I was the cook with all the experience, especially BBQ. Well things change and now my wife is an excellent cook and taught me about indirect on the grill a few years ago. I don’t indulge in the practice very much, I understand it but when it comes to the grill she passed me up 10 years ago like I was standing still, LOL. I’ll stick to my smoker and let her control the grill both direct and indirect.
