1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. Anyone know of any companies or small fleets that hire out of Southeastern NC? I'm relocating there and I am having trouble finding many companies in that area other than some of the big boys. I'll do what I have to do but I would much prefer a smaller company if I can find one. Any help is appreciated.

I'm wondering the same thing LOL. I wanna relocate from this north east part of the country but would like a job first. I tried asking on here a bit ago but not many responses, might just have to take vacation and see first hand. Good Luck to you

I would suggest checking with the trucking school in Smithfield NC, Johnston Community College. Della works in job placement and should be able to give you a list of which companies are hiring in your area. They place experienced drivers as well as recent graduates.
In a quick search, in yellowpages.com, I found several companies that you can check with:

I cut and pasted a few as an example.

    Best of Luck!!!!

I know a really good smaller company in Charlotte, NC that is currently hiring for OTR drivers (driving for Owner Operators) and Owner operators themselves. The OTR driver will be paid $0.40/mi loaded $0.25/empty. You're required to work 17-21 days out 4-5 days off. If you own your truck you'll make 75% (own your truck) or 80% (own your truck/trailer) load pay (averages $4-5,500/week).

If you want to buy a truck, they can get you in one with no credit check!! Just put your money down and roll, payments vary from $1400-$1700/month. I wanted to buy a truck bad, and was turned down by every dealership b/c I have no credit, and they got me what I wanted at 2007 Volvo T780!!

Call JT at 866-277-5314, he'll hook you up!!
