you should see the truck im in, i started with an 07 flat top. they reassigned me to a 05 condo. passenger sides all torn up, dash panels are missing and cracked.
switched me out because this ones got an mcp200, witch i love. i'll tolerate the rig for the mcp.

I have been with SNI for going on 3 months now, and started off in a 2002 Century with 941,000 on it. I didnt complain as long as she was acting fine, but now shes in the shop once a week at least. Started pushing my DBL for a better one and he says there is nothing out there, so Im looking to transfer to bulk in the hopes that they have better equipment.

I'm sitting here at the Pilot in Sandy Twp., PA.
My DBL flat out ignored my request to take the truck into Carlisle yesterday because I'm having some hard braking issues and the check engine light is on and so is the ABS light.
I was getting a reply from second shift but now they're ignoring me b/c I won't pick up a load for NJ. Never mind that there is no way in hell I can run it on time in a POS 60mph truck. Nor can I run it legally.

I'm sure you've all heard this before: "One more run and I will route you to the shop." Or "but I've got no one else to do this run. You just have to do this for me!"

    To hell with that.
I'm not going to risk my life or someone elses over some crappy freight...

I'm so pissed that I've not heard from them in an hour.
I'm about to tell them where to stick this job.
I can go pump gas for almost the same money...

    Safety first and always, huh?
I doubt it if this is how they maintain their equipment...

    Hold on there my man!

Try calling the Carlisle shop, and see what they can do for you. Maybe nothing at this pointe, but it can't hurt.

ABS light. Did you just hook a different trailer? Sometimes the ABS system on the trailer sends that alarm. I've hooked a few that did that. You still have serviceable brakes, read that safe brakes. The alarm just shows that there is a problem, but does not negate your brakes from working, you just don't have the ABS feature.

Look up on the drivers side sunshade. There is a sequence and explanation on what some of the codes are for the engine. Is it just an amber light? If so, it's nothing to be overly concerned about. The sticker on the sunshade will explain more.

What are your hard braking issues? I've been around enough to maybe help you out. Granted, I'm not a mechanic, but I do know a few things.

Don't quit before you really get started.

Take a deep breathe, count to 10, and wait for your DBL to help you out. That IS his/her job. I won't say you don't have a bad one, there are some, but they're few and far between.:biggrin_25525:

Its the ABS light for the tractor.
If just the one for the trailer, I'd not worry about it.

IDK what's up with the "hard braking" to be honest.
The MCP keeps flagging that on my log and its coming up as a fault in parameters screen.

I do notice that it feels as if the brakes want to lock most times while traversing most grades.
I've been using the Jake, but that doesn't really help. It just makes it so I don't have to brake as much.

Regardless, I feel the thing pulling to the left ainy time they are applied...

I'm STILL here at the truck stop.
I STILL can't get through to the shop or my DBL.
I STILL haven't heard a word from anyone...
Yes, I've tried both the phone and the MCP...

Whoa!!! If it's pulling to one side when you hit the brakes, you DEFINITELY have something going on, and it's not good!
You're doing the right thing not moving it until you can get it somewhere.

Keep trying to get through. I've found the second shift and weekends can be less than helpful, but your DBL should be trying to help you. One big word they pay attention to is SAFETY. Tell them you can not safely drive the truck, and be firm about it.:biggrin_25525:
