My KW was converted from an Auto-Shifter to a regular Eaton 13.
This leaves the 'gear' indicator module dead. I was wondering if anyone came across a clock or temp gauge that might fit there? - Most of the dash mounted clocks/temp gauges I have seen for sale are round....

drill it out and put a chrome round one in there!
-
the hole size for the round gauges is 2 1/16

I need to measure. But this is a rectangle. My other option I suppose would be to purchase a used dash panel with a circle cut out...
-
Easy to drill out with a perfect circle...hole saw drill bit...just like putting in a door set...find the guage you want, get the diameter for the inner circle, leaving a set line to affix the outer ring...nice clean circle cut!
-
or if it doesn't have 1, and you can find 1 small enough to fit there, put a pyro temp guage there. just an idea, although most factory pyro guages are 2 1/16 or 4in-ish round.
-
find a stuffed animal that favors you and insert him face first... then smile.. now u know... the rest of the story....
-
Pull the dash forward it might be precut for a pyro, That's where mine goes on 1999 T800

The trouble here is there is no place for the centering drill bit to be guided so the hole saw will stay where you want it. Unless you clamp it fast (very tight) to a piece of wood under the existing hole and use this wood as the centering spot for you drill bit. Just make sure it is clamped tight and go light on drilling the 2 1/16 hole With a drill press.otherhalftw Thanks this. -
Aww...what's an air line or two...hell he must have a compressor onboard!
