Fogellsville PA? There's a great little diner at the Bandit TS a few miles to the west.

I will have to check that out after I complete this mission. This one sure had everyone's attention. They even adjusted times for both 01/99. Not my fault. I fiqured the fixes would take at least a day. I came ouit of the shop, sent Mac 6 and oila!
How far to the Bandit TS? My 99 actually has Allen Town address, but you know those MAC 27's. -
Probably to late now... but it's at x45 on 78. It's the New Smithfield Diner, open 5am - midnight. That's really the only reason to stop there, the t/s itself sucks. The diner is a separate facility next door.
Just south of Nashville for the night. Headed to WVC for a Friday 99. -
My trailer luck continues...
D&h'd in Norcross this AM, swapped a perfectly fine trailer for a beat up POS. Someone banged the front right into something, causing the metal protecter to be ripped half off and mangled. So I reported it right away, I pity the driver who had it before if he didn't report it. It was a bit embarrassing to haul it because it was fresh damage. So I just didn't pass anyone.
Made that 99 then D&H'd in Decatur AL for another with crappy tandems. Wouldn't slide till I chocked both sides, and still left 3/4 length of the trailer black marks on the 01's asphalt. Fortunately I got it barely legal enough to run 1/2 tank of fuel, but still 3k off balance.
The fun continues... -
trade your crappy trl for crappy loads....
Yeah you pass people with the fresh damage they will think you were the one that did it!
You DO carry a can of wd40, right? I also notice that on some of the older TRL you have to have the trk and trl PERFECTLY straight in order for it to slide. it seems to be the 53xxxx and 54xxxxx trls. Oh and you have to rock the trl forward and backward so the pins fully retract. -
Today at my 99, me, another central drv, a USA Truck drv, and one of the warehouse guys at the bud distributor were talking about being late... the other central drv was about an hour late and the warehouse guy said that it was fine..... since we are on time with them more then other carriers. Apparently some carriers come in 3 days late and they have to call the carrier to find out where the trk is.
Now im at wvdc. if i dont get a morning load tomorrow then im going to put my trk in the shop for an early a service and have them fix my QC. Im tired of editing my logs 3 or 4 times every day. makes it look like im trying to falsify my logs
oh yeah... wanted to get some laundry done while im here but there is a sign on the change machine that says "get quarters in the store" but the store is closed.
Im suprised mr wolff didnt msg me about the edits..lol sometimes i feel like they are avoiding me or something. Safety never answers my QC. I go into violation and forget to msg why i went into violation but then my violations are usually only 2-10 minutes (which if translated to paper logs would not be a violation since those go by 15 min).Last edited: Jun 29, 2010

You're actually better off using a can of silocone spray in place of WD-40. WD's mostly water, and can cause problems, or so I've been told by both locksmiths and trailer guys.
and never WD-40 a lock, graphite or silicone spray or it'll rust from the inside out. My old lock did that, I had to swap out my lock set. -
Sounds like us. I had to call and report fresh damage to the trailer we picked up today. Someone had drug it along another trailer (or another trailer drug along it) from the hazmat placard back to the end of the trailer, scraping it up, and screwing up the placard. thankfully we had duct tape.
It also had a badly bent crossmember right behind the kingpin plate, which we also had to report... we can run with it, so when it gets to the yard someone's going to wonder why their trailer is red tagger. Good thing I'm not taking it there. -
Actually, with AB you can. I've had to take them before, but they're not as bad as Coors for taking a rail to. -
dispatch refused to let me take a rail trl there. I would have anyway if it were a live load. I would have just ran the reefer at 60 to burn the fuel. That AB in Ft. Collins was horrendous monday. I ended up being there for 3 hrs picking up a preloaded trl because of their process and taking 20 min to check out 2 trls. the line of trks went all the way to the end of the drop yard and turned into it.
