Hello, Scott and Welcome to the Site

I used our Search feature, located on the tool bar above. I found several threads re: Caldwell CC and their truck driver training program, this is just one of the threads:

Using the link above just took me to the forums homepage, so I also did a Search function and pulled up an inspirational post about Caldwell:

I am tentatively planning to go to the SAGE school at Isothermal Community College at a whopping $3700 for their 5 week course, however Caldwell was a 2nd choice because of the price ($800 for NC residents) and because they fall under the guidelines for financial assistance for those of us who are receiving unemployment benefits.
I am still at my final stages of decision making for the SAGE school at Isothermal...all depends on if I qualify for financial assistance through the WIA program...they have already offered to pay 1/2 the tuition there for me....so we'll see. If it falls through, I will likely attend Caldwell as well, since they will grant 100% financing for that, it's just not my 1st choice of schools. But hey, beggars can't be choosers and I'm sure Caldwell has a great programkickin chicken Thanks this. -
Biodiesel:
How did you learn that Isothermal is better than Caldwell Community College? I have been looking for reviews and rankings online, hard to find anything.
I am up in Marshall. -

Take a look at their page. They have 1-on-1 instruction, ranked as the Top truck school in the US by TruckSchoolsUSA, and they are operated by SAGE which is nationally recognized as a top school just by name. It looks pretty good on a resume when looking for a job.
It's apples and oranges...Caldwell you have to enroll as a student and the instruction is longer. At Isothermal it's operated independently from the school, you aren't enrolled in college...you are just there for the truck training. For me that was a plus, since I already have a Bachelor's Degree and don't really want to enroll into a community college (again).kickin chicken Thanks this. -
Yeah, I have a 4 year college degree also.
Also I noticed they teach CPR at the truck driving school.
That is of no use to me, I was a Paramedic for 14 years, I was a certified CPR instructor for 10 years, and I have done CPR on 500 patients. -

Would you email me? I would like to discuss this further.
