Those are quotes from previous posts with the same outlook as you.

I guess I'll never be considered safe until replace common sense with "safety" equipment.
-
Its not supposed to make you "safer". Although I cant imagine why someone would react so harshly to something that does help to reduce blindspots.johnday Thanks this.

Well, I think Mr. Faulk's last sentence, in red, to be readily noticed, sorta said it all.

Ah, anything new will be rejected by some, even me. I hate the new square fender mirrors. Now that's ugly.
When I got my new truck Jan 09, the first thing I did was replace the fender mirror with the old style. That's just because that's what I was use to.
The first truck I had was a old FLD with 2 mirrors. Then I got a 94 FLD Condo with 2 fender mirrors. I loved the view from the truck plus the other advantages.
To each his own.johnday Thanks this. -
Ya, I don't care too much for the square ones either. But, if it's a company truck, I'll take them over nothing.

If one were to drive the Pete 379X with the stainless steel front fenders, and polish them real well....hmmm.......
johnday Thanks this. -
Ya, hhhhmmmmm, in profound thought.

What I don't understand is how some people can get so worked up over something as trivial as a driver's preference for a particular mirror. For gosh sakes, it is just another "tool of the trade," if someone chooses to have it. . .
corneileous and johnday Thank this.
