Well I talked with Roxy yesterday and schedulded to start on July 12th. Happy about it but wish it was sooner. Sitting and not earning a pay check really sucks. Does anyone know what the majority of their truckes are or do they have a variety. I've heard Volvo and Pete but not much of anything else. For you guys who are already driving for them, how much time do you spend back east compaired to the west. Roxy said drivers were getting around 9000 to 11000 miles a month. How accurate is that. Any and all info will help. Thanks

I talked to a driver yesterday. He was doing local runs inside of Utah. He said he goes to Colorado and California every once and a while. He said he has been there 7 years. I guess he must like it there. I've seen two W/S on I-15 today and 1 at a truckstop off of I-15 in Ogden area. So that tells me they come through Utah alot. All the trucks I've seen so far are Volvos. If you follow the "W/S drivers what's your 20" post, that will give you some insight on where they run.

As for the truck you saw in ogden. It was probably Cagetrucker, he was on his way thru, heading home. I was able to talk to him and get a lot of questions answered. Thanks Cage. Royger what school are you going to up here. I went to roadmaster, not complaining about them, cuz I got my license and the experiance I needed, just wish they had better trucks and more recuiters. Cage said they mostly have Volvo and Freight. One question i thought of after talking with Cage is do they have Dedicated, from your post royger, it sounds like this guy is on one, but I've been known to be wrong, I mean i did driver for werner, lol.

I'm going through the Salt Lake Community Collage. We were driving up North to Willard area. Then we went to Grantsville then back to Salt Lake. Thier trucks suck as well. They have taken alot of abuse over the years. But as long as I get my CDL I'll be happy.

Beat up trucks are going to be part of it. With all the poeple learning how to shift and all. We had a couple people that made you ready for bull riding, but they got the hang of it by the end. When will you be done, have you scheduled a time with WS yet.

I haven't heard anyone mention that May is one of the SLOWEST trucks on the road! What are they set at, 62? 60!?! I just know that May, Stevens, and Schneider seem to be even slower than Swift... and that's slow!

I talked with a May driver on friday. They are set at 60, but the guy was also driving a 2011 pete. They may be a slower company but they have a lot newer trucks. Hope everyone had a great and safe 4th weekend.

Hey does anyone know, how long you have to stay out after the 10 day orientation before you get some home time?

PL I'm not sure if you have received the paperwork from W/S but when you do it will expl;ain it in there, I think it is 1 day off for every 6 days out with a minimum of 14 out before taking Home Time. I would think that once you got out there and get a feel for how they run you should be able to request HT(home time) for the near future, I would say if you request 3-4 days after you have been out a few weeks and make that requesst 2-3 weeks before you expect to get your HT you should be good... I am not sure what you are expecting but if you are expecting several days after you have been out for 2 weeks this may not be the right gig for you, I'm brand new I graduate from my Community College this week, I'm wqaiting for a baby to be born and then I head on up to Missoula or where ever I'm going to get started. I hope this helps.
