We bought an 07 379 with a 475hp nxs in it. The cruise on this thing seems very hard to activate the first time you use it after turning on the truck. Now the buttons are getting power, cause it will idle up just fine. When you start going down the road, you have to keep hitting the set button to get it to hold. Once it has grabbed, it will work just fine until you shut the truck off again. Anyone know why this is?

mr haney can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but it sounds like it is set in the ecm to be that way, you can set the cruise in the ecm to several diff settings on how it activates, but I dont remember what each 1 is.

ok, yeah this was an ex-TMC truck outta des moines. It has a lot of weird computer settings on the cat ID that i haven't figured out yet.

Diesel Dan,
I'd run it into Ziegler's Columbus-Forest Lake store. They will do a free download for you and you can review how every parameter has been set. They have several very sharp tech's there that should be able to get you fixed up.
They have a new shop manager: Jim Bjorklund, super nice guy! -
What happened to Kent? We do business over there every now and then just for engine work. They have been great to work with, plus its a beautiful new shop. Otherwise Blaine Brothers does all my maintenance. Allstate was supposed to have cleared all the parameters set by TMC, but allstate is another story.

They let Kent go a couple months ago. Stop by and the'll get you fixed up.
