This is a great article and it shows with some work on your part, an Authority can be had without even paying any money to a third party.
Every O/O leased to some crappy trucking company should be doing this even if they aren't a team operation.
Way to go Al and Ben...rookietrucker Thanks this. -
I wish them all the Good Luck in the world !!!
But starting out, like almost every other trucker, going to the load boards.................
well, I'll just say .......Good Luck to them. -
Go back and reread the article,........You'll see that they payed "get loaded" $949.00 to get their authority,...
-
$300 on your own. Most of the time I see 2x that from so called "Helpful companies out there" - but $949 ???

walleye Thanks this. -
I wish them the best ...seriously GL for the paperwork, then they dont know how to invoice!??
plus ins. and truck payments! I would love to ask what the great load to chicago was paying
-
That's awesome for the both of them! I really hope they do well.
rookietrucker Thanks this. -
We payed a large amount of money but it was well worth it. Were getting about 1.50 a mile average. We will make all our money back for the truck, trailer and licensing in three years at five hundred dollars a week. So far we are doing good are biggest down fall might be we take to much time off.
Beechvtail, RockyWI, rookietrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
are you allowing monies for repairs in your fixed cost of operation..
you really need your avg higher, with the cost of fuel where it is.... Is getloaded your only avenue for freight
??

Try setting up a maintenace fund. Take, say a penny per mile for each run and set that aside. Doesn't sound like much but it does add up. Repairs, tires, etc can drain you pretty quick if you're not financially prepared.
