I'll make it easy for you. Your CDL is only valid to drive a CMV when you have a current medical card. No medical card means your CDL is NOT valid to drive a CMV. You may have been issued a CDL from the DMV and have it in your wallet, but, if you drive a CMV WITHOUT a current medical card in your possession, you are, in essence, driving without a valid CDL. If you get pulled over by a Cop with an expired medical card and he sends you on your way with just a verbal warning, he has got to be some kind of backwoods hick with a Cracker Jax badge. You know I'm right!:yes2557:

If you drive a CMV on a public highway, regardless if you work for the city, you need a current medical card. You must be driving a pick-up truck or something.

And starting in january, you won't need to carry a medical card on your person, in some circumstances.

They are switching over to it being on record, with your CDL !!!!!!!!!!

Here's a medical card situation for you. I recently moved to Tennessee from New York. I wasn't planning on staying here. I had my physical as the old card was about to expire in 15 days. The card has my NY license # on it. 3 months later I decide to stay in TN. I had my CDL switched over to my new address in TN. Went to the dr. to get an updated card. He said it probably wasn't necessary, besides he never had to give out a replacement card anyway. I still carry a copy of the old NY license to match up with the med. card & a copy of lease to show date of new TN address. I can't see getting a new physical just because I moved. What's your opinion?
