I know how you feel about these loads. Since home time 3 weeks ago all short runs. The other day I am at the WM DC unloading. I had received and accepted the next load. I was hanging out in their air-conditioned OTR lounge so as no to idle too much in the heat. They pulled my load and gave me a generous 3 leg run. I get my paperwork and jump in the truck. I noticed the red light and had to stop and try to sort out all the changes. Then I get pulled from the 3 good ones and thrown back to the short run:biggrin_25513:

Shoot.. Man.. Ya'll want luck? I haven't had a check in 2 weeks and I won't have a check for 3 more weeks.. I've been seeing 18 mi loads.. 258 mile loads with 53 hours on them.. I'm falling in debt faster than you can say uncle george.. While boot and mike keep gettin fatter pockets.. Shoot.. So most likely when I make it to ut.. I need to have a face to face with some people.. I mean.. I can't even get my miles to pay my payments.. I just want my miles back... Please? I just wanna work again.. So I'm calling the training department monday.. Guess ill become a trainer.. Train some kids and make some dang green backs again.. I hope..

im gonna spend alot on fuel this week.. :( 100+ in houston and most likely im sitting until monday :( because that stupid CVS repower kept me from picking up my next load so it was unassigned. I think that driver got used then fired when he got it to the Houston area for me to repower. I saw the guy picking it up as I was leaving the shipper and he seemed ok. when the tow truck driver talked to the driver about the keys, he said that the driver was REALLY pissed off and just left all his crap in the truck. CB, Sat radio. etc.

I would have driven the truck away. Brought it to a place of my choosing, near an airport or bus station where I could get home from.
The company's like to say that they will report the truck stolen, but it would never hold up in court, since you were assigned the truck.
You legally have the chance to clean the truck out etc. And must be given the time to do so. Especially if on the road.
All the company's like to hold the stolen truck thing over your head. This was a big deal in the Arrow thing. But the police said straight out that the driver had legal possession of the truck till they had the opportunity to return it to the company in a good location.

my idle will be close to 100% come monday :biggrin_2559: since i dont think there is anything coming out of houston until monday.

Sorry i just find my last week was just so ridiculous that its amusing. Even Julie at OSD was laughing because i had to report OSD to here 2 days in a row. Costco for refusing the load without a rework and CVS over 10 cases on one item and short 2 on another. DM says im not going to get charged with all the service fails in the last week because none of them were my fault. :biggrin_255:

    1. Costco refused.
    2. Because they refused and I cant drop a meat load, made me fail the next load to walgreens.
    3. Walmart had the wrong appt time so i became a work in. which made me run out of hrs on their property. That made me late for my next 01 at the tow yard for my repower.
    4. Tow Yard Night dispatch didnt know that they had the keys to the trk to unhook to let me take the trl so wouldnt call a driver to the tow yard to unlock the gate. Tried to explain that we didnt need the keys... but she still refused. Which made me late for CVS.
    5. CVS took about 7 hrs to unload me which made me run out of hrs on their property smack dab in the middle of my 10 (couldnt 8/2 because i already did that at walmart). Which made me late on my next load of medical supplies and got unassigned. So now here i am at the Flying J on I 45 in houston.

My DM says that some people (planner) was not happy. I told him to go tell the planner to go be unhappy with costco, walmart, CVS and the Tow company.

Here's how I look at it.. The planners lay the blame off on us because of customers and their own stupidity, you can't blame us for the way someone loads the trl.. I don't know if it needs sorted or not.. Not our fault customers get appt times wrong.. And the planners need to pay attention to what their doing, if my 99 drops at 1800 and is live wm unload.. It'll be 2 hours. But yet my live load 01 picks up 167 miles away for 1701... How does that work? Even though you inform dm and what not.. They say go with it.. Still a service failure... I think we need to retrain planners and get their heads outta their rear ends.. Here lately.. The only people that seem to run is trainee-teams... Everyone else is gettin the shaft.
