Fact of the matter is, if you haven't done ur research and failed at leasing from CRE it's nobodys fault but ur own. I did my training at CRE before it was forced teams. I had a brand new truck and was driving solo as a company driver. I found CRE to be a very good company, I got home more than most because of where i live in SO-CAL. Sometimes I got home for a few days without having to use my hometime. My dispatcher Chris Speakman and I worked very well with eachother, If I wanted or needed to get somewhere he would get me there. I choose to become a company driver from the very beginning and when I told them that, that was the end of it. They never tried to ram the leasing program down my throat. I'm very sorry for those of you that have had a bad experience with CRE. I'm guess I'm just one of those people that didn't. I think CRE is a good company and I would go back to work for them, the only reason why I left CRE is because of some family matters that needed some attending too. For those of you that are thinking about going to work and/or train at CRE do it!!! JUST DONT LEASE!!!!!!

A recruiter wouldn't say not to lease.. LOL They cram that stuff down there throats. Hubby said HELL no.. to a lease.
venne Thanks this. -
he is right though. For some people, leasing works just fine.
But for people who are BRAND NEW to the industry, they have enough on their plate then to get mixed up in a lease program. There is so much you need to learn about driving, and regulations, and expectations, and safety before you need to start worrying about a lease. Some people cant keep their log books and manifests organized off the bat, you expect them to keep their budget right enough to keep lease and fuel and repairs in order? -
A sly one would. Esp if he was posing as a driver...

Like I wrote in another thread, it does not benefit the driver to lease, it's just another way for CR England to get their greedy hands on YOUR money. I would personally steer clear of this company because from what I've read and seen on their website, they really push the lease program. It's especially disturbing that they push it on people fresh out of school who have just obtained their CDLs and have absolutley no experience driving a truck. Right now is not a good time to be an owner operator, much less a lease operator because one, freight is slow right now due to the economy being in the dumps, and because fuel is very expensive right now. I know that in the last few years, fuel costs have been eating owner operators and lease operators alive! If you are going to go to work for CR England, go company and by all means, do not lease a truck!
