I know Schneider closed their school some time ago, well it looks like they are starting to train drivers again!. Although the add doesnt state it I bet its one of those contract deals.

When I was at the Carlisle OC this morning the classroom was SRO....
When I went thru re-orientation back in October there were 9 of us that started, and 4 that finished and got trucks....one37 Thanks this. -
Schnieder schools are still shut down. They are taking students from other schools.
nckid Thanks this. -
Please read this again! (Regional Truck Drivers - Training Provided) As you can see Schneider IS schooling again!. I went to this Fox Vally Tech. myself and just visited there again 4 days ago. They told me Schneider IS teaching new drivers at this school!

OH GOOD! they clean up their act, shake off their reputation as a a pack of murdering airheads governed at 55 m.p.h., and have decided to once more become what they were.
nothing like nostalgia i guess. -
I just went through their training orientation in Green Bay and what surprised me was Schneider RENTED cars for all the graduating students in our class to return home in that came to orientation on the Greyhound at company expense!. They also paid for gas and mileage for students that drove their own cars. We were also fed all 3 meals each day while we were there. They also put us up at a clean motel near school. I felt they didn't have to do all these things at this high standard. MY opinion is they treated us far better then required.

They do that for their drivers. They do it for experienced drivers coming over to SNI as well, both ways. Shocked the snail snot out of me when I hired on! I thought it was a very nice touch. I went to Green Bay as well, December of '08 the day after Christmas. Dopey me, in my old exuberance, I left my down insulated coat at home. All I had was insulated shirts. Sure got cold when we went outside to burn one during breaks.

I have called that number and according to their recording they are not currently doing any kind of training for you obtain your CDL. But if you goto their website they have it on there and you can fill out the application. I am hoping i get a call from them and i can get in to it!!
