Sure you start out drooling on yourself and in diapers.
    Then you grow up.
Then you end up drooling on yourself and in diapers again.

Hows that for reverse aging.... LOL

You can rob banks and get away with it too. It is still illegal. Especially when you get caught. You got away with it that time but as you found out it did catch up with you in WY

so....maybe.....77? 78? Maybe even........79? What do you think?

What ever happened to the days I remember in the 70s when tractor trailers would pass you doing 85MPH in the middle of the night? Now those guys were a little dangerous I think. That's what caused the big crackdownon truck driver speed limits I think. And doesn't it chap you a little bit that cars can go 70MPH at night and there is another speed limit for trucks that is only 65MPH or 60MPH? I don't get that.

So you are a 53 year old white male-BIG FLIPPING deal- as my mom used to tell me what does that have to do with the price of rice in china?:biggrin_2558:

Your age, race and sex do not excuse the fact that YOU were speeding whether you like it or not.The officer claiming 3 MPH more than what you claim does not matter. The fact is you came up behind, what I am assuming was, a marked police car at a rate that you admit was above, does not matter how far above, the posted speed limit and you got popped.

DEAL WITH IT AND MOVE ON!:biggrin_25510:
Quit whining that you were ticketed unfairly.

As has been stated earlier, you were not in your home area or SD but in Wyoming and you can not assume there is a cushion on the speed limit.

If you are stupid enough to do the crime you do the time or pay the fine.
Actually it sounds as if you are a habitual offender,no matter what excuse you give yourself 5 MPH over is still speeding,so we probably won't have to worry about you out on the road for long anyway.

Oh and before you start asking how bad my MVR is try clear for the past 10 years, yes I was stupid when I first started driving but learned very quick to slow down and chill.

    Just my 2 cents.:biggrin_25511:

Before the oil embargo of 1974 and the ensuing federal 55mph speed limit, there were some states without a speed limit such as Montana and Nevada. I know. I drove truck then and we did 90 in those states all the time. Legally.
(as I recall, Montana had an 80mph speed limt after dark)

Emulsified, I see you live in Sioux Falls, SD. Tell me you wouldn't do 82MPH in the middle of the night on I-90 westbound? Or would you really do 75?

And, there seems to be a lot of supressed anger here. What is it with truck drivers and speeding?

And I was surprised that a conservative and independent state like Wyoming would have such wiennie cops as to give a ticket for 7MPH over the speed limit. So, I'm thinking it is a revenue generator.

Awh, the good ole days. I keep saying the late 60s and early 70s were the very best times ever in America.

You wont. I've decided not to get into truck driving. There is a reason that has to do with my health.

Really? Hippies spitting on soldiers, the beginings of AIDS, rampant spending, a ceaseless war against America was formenting while we wasted time in the jungle. Most people spent their days in a chemically induced fog...........Sure sounds like "good ol days" to me. What was you favorite part? The drugs,or lack of bathing by the commune?
