Sorry to hear about your loss when things are going so well for you! That is probably one of the toughest things about being an over the road driver. Not being there for family in times of need. Sorry to the poor driver it happened to also. Keep safety in mind with you everyday while you are out there! It is a dangerous profession!

As for your orientation I hope you are having a good time! That's funny how people just mysteriously disappear during orientation. I think it's the "background aliens"! They look for things wrong in your past and then suck you out of orientation into their space ship to never be seen again!

    Good luck! Keep everyone posted!

My last day at Schneider academy is today! They are getting us nice work boots as well as renting all graduates a car so they wont have to ride the Greyhound home. We all go home for a restart and then we will be joining our on the road trainer for 7-10 days after which time we will be issued our own truck. I hope my trainer is a patient man.

Sounds like you are doing just fine at Schneider! Congrats on getting through the orientation! I can't believe they are renting cars to send you guys home. You must be an extraordinary group. I have never heard of them doing this before. You seem to be a very positive person and I think you will do well with your trainer. If for any reason you are not clicking don't be afraid to ask for someone else. It happens all the time. You want to make sure you are getting the proper training and not just running as a team to pay your trainers bills. Usually a trainer also buys the student dinner. Maybe not every night but they should keep you properly fed. Are you set as far as what to bring with you? Make sure to bring warm clothes, it can get down in the 30's and 40's out in the desert and Wyoming in the summer! Congrats once again, I am excited for you! Pm me if you need any help!

I GRADUATED! I have been Schneidered, I managed to get through the Green Bay training and will go home for a reset starting today. I don't know when my training engineer will hook up with me to start the 1-2 weeks of the final driving part but I assume by this Monday. It sure will be nice going home and getting out of here if even for a day.

You only have to go with a trainer for two weeks? Have you had experience before or something? Any way should be a blast for you! Don't be afraid to ask your trainer about winter driving while you are with him. Maybe he can teach you how to throw chains. That way you will be prepared when it comes time. Good luck!
