Starting new driving job the 29th. Going with Marten.

Hello guys. I apologize for being absent for way too long... things have been hectic lately... at home mainly. I am leaving Marten. On good terms... I will not bad mouth them, they really have done nothing to deserve it. But I am moving over to New Century Transportation out of New Jersey.

I can't pass up higher pay and better benefits. They called me and said they are interested in having me come over. The starting pay there is .456 cents per mile

So I've asked one of the mods to shut this thread down in a few days. I will probably start a new one on how things are going at New Century. Just please be patient... things have been nuts lately.

 

And you know what BigKid? If you would bother to read what I said... I am leaving on good terms. New Century is offering more pay, better benefits, and equipment. That doesn't mean I am leaving Marten on bad terms. I was happy there and they kept me busy. 39 cents a mile at Marten was good. But at New Century it's 46 cents a mile. I didn't "change" my mind about Marten. If New Century hadn't contacted me I would still be here right now.

So you're weren't right about anything. Give me a break... what? You want to gloat or something?

 

And stop assuming that since you didn't keep busy that no one else did either. You know it really makes me irate that there are people out there who when they leave a company they just can't leave it at that. They gotta rant on and on about the company and rail against anyone who works there.

Don't look for me to do the same... I have no ill will towards Marten at all and wish them and their drivers the best.
