Hi,
I was reading Topsflights story on how he got started in grain hauling and am envious. I live in northern Illinois, but originally from Edwardsville/ Glen Carbon, IL. My godfather lives in Bunker Hill and use to work in Alton I believe. I have always had a passion for trucks and always pictured myself driving a truck for a local farm. I have my Class A CDL, but with limited tractor experience. I have some straight truck experience and I did go to a commercial driving school for 4 weeks 120hrs of road driving experience and yard skill maneuvering. Perfect mvr and clean background. I would sure appreciate any tips or feedback you could give me to help be land a truck-driving job in Northern Illinois. Pay is not an issue. I would be willing to start at any hourly rate in order to get into grain hauling. Any help would be greatly appreciated helping my passion for farms and truck driving come true.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Chris B

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
