Hi, I've been reading this thread abit for a few days. Years ago I drove Flats for TMC for 2years. I've just retired from a second career(US Armyand Qwest Communications). I guess I never got desiel out of my viens! I loved driving, but my family hated it. My Boys are grown up now and I am widowed. I have been thinking of driving again. I read this thread cuz JCT driver were some of the best treated back then and it appears the same.
I will have to start over at a driver mill, but I have a no bills, a paid off house, and retirement income. I also have $50K+ funds to buy a truck. Put it in a bond account for one year.
Does JCT hire after 1yr OTR? Do they do O/O or only L/O? I'm in AZ on I-10 so do they do Okay for solos or is it oreinted for Team?
I've got prehires from all the usual suspects, any suggestions for the 1st year? Thanks, Rob

 

I got a little overly concerned about different people from different parts of my life reading my posts on FB. I slept on it... decided just having family on FB was boring... and that I don't hide things, I don't lie and really don't care what people may or may not think about what I may or may not post on FB or anywhere else for that matter. In a broader sense.... you never know who is reading your posts on any public forum... even if you have your privacy settings set to friends only, etc. so say what you mean and mean what you say... or don't say anything... LOL.

Whew! Made it back on here. Been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well. Been busy rollin, family issues and a few unwanted layovers. But all is well. Miles are good. Layovers/detentions were paid well. And my truck (the beast) is running better & better each day. Gonna be saddened when I give her up lol Have a lil time so I guess I will catch up on reading in the forum.

Is it true you have to pay a 15% admin fee for them to pay for repairs at a shop with money out of your maintenance fund that you put in it? You put money in the maintenace fund and they hold it and then when they have to pay it out to a shop they charge 15% of the total bill to do it. Wowsers!
