YAHTZEE!!! we have a winner trl!

3 things wrong with the same trl.

    1. Bubble in tire.
    2. DOT inspect. due today
    3. last receiver put a hole in the wall on the right side with their forklift.

Had to go with it because that was the only empty in 200 miles. Thankfully the shipper helped me out and stuffed the hole with plastic and taped it with duct tape until i can get it fixed after the trl is empty on monday.

and now in Denton its so hot (120) that the AC doesnt help much. :biggrin_25513:

True, I forgot about that one. Normally if I am there I am at the Casino in the Petro.
I wrote that to let that new driver know about a place easy to go with his daughter on the road.
I am lucky I guess, I have no kids. My wife and I borrow her oldest neice when we want to bring a child with us on trips lol. She gets to go everywhere.

Bribery at the TA shops can get you places!

Brought my F-ed up trl into TA in Denton. It was 116 degrees outside and just wanted to get my tire replaced and DOT inspection on the trl done. Go into the shop to tell them what they need to do and ask him how long before i get called to put my trk into a service bay. He tells me 1 to 2 hrs. which would put me dangerously behind on my load. The 1 to 2 hrs to get called then another hour to do the work. :biggrin_25513: So...

Me: Cool, I can go get something to eat next door?
    Service clerk: Sure.
Me: You guys hungry? Want some pizza? I cant eat it all my self.
Service clerk: Just put your trk in bay 4.

Brought pizza back to the shop and my trk was done in 45 minutes... Tire replaced and DOT inspection. :biggrin_25526:

Now im at the trk plaza on I35 exit 203.

Also I got a free show today...

Some 4 wheeler was hanging out next to me almost in my blind spot right next to the sleeper. 2 College girls in the car. The one in the jump seat with the window open legs spread wide and panties pulled to the side! :biggrin_25524: Had to just blow her a kiss...

So today wasn't a total mess.

Hello I'm new to this forum, but had some questions about Central I hope you all can answer. I have researched this alot and have narrowed it down to a cpl companies and Central is my first choice. I have already turned in an application here in Ga. terminal, but haven't heard anything back yet. Its been over a week, is this normal with central? I have e-mailed the recruiter to verify he recieved my app (since he wasn't in his office the 3 days I have stopped by) and no response, have left 3 voice mails and no response. Surely they would be professional enough to let me know if they weren't interested. I should have my DAC report back tomorrow ( i had it run through another company a family member works for, but there not hiring) I have a few minor misdemenors (no theft charges) that are at least 6 yrs old or more. I have 4yrs experiance, but that was 18 yrs ago so I don't think that would count that far back. I just want to retrain and get my CDL back and go OTR. Is there anyone in the company I can call besides the recruiter to find out the status of my app? The only reason I let my CDL go was I wasn't using it but paying $75 extra a yr for nothing so I just let it run out in case anyone was wondering.

Welcome to the fray. Recruiters are human and full of frailties, including incompetence. Find another recruiter and get an answer. When I originally started calling I had to go through 5 before I got a human instead of the voice mail. That was during working hours.
Hope you have taken time to read through these pages. From personal experience they speak very true. Central is not much different in how it abuses drivers, but they do differ on Company Solo vs Team and the program is shorter than most. We run where all the others do. After time on board some opportunities might present themselves such as fleets, dedicated runs etc. These can have some perks such as predictablility and higher pay.
