Just A Quick Introduction

I realized that I had not yet posted an introduction to this forum.

I am a former Electronics Engineer, former High School teacher, and something of a computer/tech geek of sorts. I've been trucking for 15 years and while it's not always roses and sunshine I do enjoy it.

I have been doing specialized hauling, stepdecks and RGNs for about 10 years now hauling mostly military trucks and other government equipment, with a lot of it being over-sized loads.

Let's see, I am a pipe smoker and have a modest collection of pipes and tobaccos. Peterson pipes, made in Dublin, Ireleand are my favorite pipes.

I use Slackware Linux as my primary operating system but also use Mac, Windows 7, and Android machines as well.

I ride a recumbent bicycle when I get the time and the weather permits.

Depending on what I am doing and what the weather is like you may see me out here wearing anything from shorts and tee shirt to slacks, dress shirt, and bow tie.

I am something of a collector of hats and have a good many of them ranging from ball caps to western hats to fedoras to derby and homburg hats.

I also enjoy Geocaching from time to time.
