1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Can you tell me about any companies that run 7 on 7 off or similar or part-time?

Knight is the only one that I have seen, but there may be some smaller ones. FWIW, there is NOTHING that could make me go back to Knight.

I have seen a smaller outfit out of Saint George UT advertising for "full or part time" refer drivers. RMC Foods is the name of the outfit, and their equipment is junk. I don't know anything else about them.

I know Roehl offers 7/7, also a 7/3 and 7/4. However , the information I have is that you can not start running the 7/7 until 6 months. You can visit their site and give them a call to find out for sure for your area.

SNI has a flex fleet. You can pretty much drive what you want. It was offered to me before I left. They also have a "Home Run" program. 2 weeks out, 1 off.
John Veriha has a 7/7 deal. From what they told me, you just need to find another willing driver. :biggrin_25525:

I'm heading to Roehl orientation shortly. Their website talks alot about 7/7. But you share your truck with one or two other drivers. I'm not interested in downtime as result of someone else.

When I was with J&R Schugel they had a 7/7 run that was dedicated to cali and back. You would share your truck with another driver. Not sure if they still got it there or not.

I highly doubt you will ever find a company that will do the 7/7 without sharing your tractor. No way is a company going to lose money letting there tractors sit every other week. It just doesn't make economic sense for a company to do that.

I know that if you live in Wi or near Wi Roehel has runs like that. They have 7/7. and 7/3 7/4 i would say give them a call or go to there website. I know that if you live in minnnesota they are advertising it for flatbed. looks like you share the truck with at least one other driver.

    1) i've been hearing nothing but bad about knight lately; This is scarring me away from them.
But, let me ask you this: i heard that knight has a policy where you're not allowed to drive between the hours of 11pm and 6am ish? Is/was this true?

    2) i'm closer(much closer) to roehl's bensalem terminal, so that would be the terminal i would "shoot for." However, i'm not totally opposed to working out of a wisconsin terminal.

    3) i don't mind sharing a truck if the other person is clean; i think most people who do the 7 on 7 off type programs tend to be neater(?).
