I hope to someday meet a "real" truck driver, every day I see less and less professionalism

Wow, he was dumb. I agree that respect is gained by being a professional.

I would back my set between the two biggest trucks I could find..lol.. The looks I got when I set up were priceless but once I hit the spot the hand shakes and props were given it was a feeling that could not be topped.. Imagine a "kid" backing a set next to your large car.. The only reason I did it is because I can back a set better than the newbs can back one.. I remember backing my my set at a meet in Ohio and had 19 going crazy because I placed my back box between two dropped 53' in the back row..lol..

Yeah the other thing I get a lot which has been mentioned here is, "oh what are just local?" Yeah I'm sorry local is cool enough for you maybe I would be more of a man if I ran OTR. Thanks for those replied, it seems this guy is not in the majority in his way of thinking.

hell yeah, I love local work. I like driving tri-axle too, if that makes me any less of a driver so be it.

In that case, I wouldn't mind being less of a driver.:biggrin_25525:

I am a six month wonder and I would not say that? (actually 10 months) if you can handle a large truck on the city streets, i is a lot harder than making it go forward down a road.
Shake the dust off and don't look back
