you think that i'll burn out in a few years partner let me tell you I've been doing this since 1976 an I'm not burned out yet and will call it quites before that happens. ANYONE THAT THINKS THIS IS FUNNY SHOULD HAVE IT HAPPEN TO THEMSELVE. Years ago no drivers laughed at other drivers they would help you no matter what the situation was an in return you would do the same. I see yours says ex 10 years is that of Truck driving or just experience. Anyhow 10 years aint Squat in my book I'd call you a ROOKIE yet, so you go ahead and laugh and WHEN it happend to you, I'll probably help you anyway. have a SAFE trip.

Pretty much. Even though I'm not licensed, I've tinkered with one of the trucks we have, and backed it up without coming close to hitting the pole. Might not be any consolation (sp?) to an experienced driver, but, i've rode in a tractor-trailer for the last 3 years, I do know stuff that can happen. Mirrors and common sense go along way. :biggrin_25525:

give it a rest chopper--i have been in the industry about 30 years --and yes it is funny as hell---and years ago--veteran drivers would ride a rookie until he was in tears--there wasnt as many rookies running around so you dont see the crap you see today
we used to take bets on new trucks as to how far they would make it before getting banged up--shortest was 30 ft and he got a pole wedged between sleeper and and first drives--i have done my own share of screw ups--and i am sure others find them funny--just as get a chuckle out of theirs
