Being a female is not an advantage or disadvantage to anything except for smashing their boobs into things by accident (ow!)....

Seriously, I'm sick of reading things like "women have longer attention spans". You should see my mom drive! I went to Indianapolis with her the other day to turn my truck in, at one point she was doing 35 on interstate 70......

I know i have a longer attention span then my mom!

That said, I'm glad to see women doing jobs that are for the most part considered a "mans job". I wouldn't want that job myself, and I'm generally considered to be a man! However, I have driven I-10 in the hottest parts of the summer, in the most deserted places it runs, and...I know the feeling. But not quite to the point of driving 5 hours without seeing a single truckstop. But.....I have driven 5 hours on i-10 without seeing a single truckstop I wanted to eat at!! :D :D

It would be nice if truck owners in the US could net the income of this company driver.

I've run with a number of women truckdrivers over the years and don't see any lack in their ability to do the job.

what they dont tell you is she runs specialised freight to the mines of WA, on roadtrains. hence the remuneration isnt able to directly be compared to anything else really.

the drivers make that money towing 3 45' trailers and for living and working in desolate conditions where you could be a day or more drive from the next person...

there isnt a job in the us that can relate, the closest comparison would likley be the ice roads, mainly due to extreme temps, but not remoteness
