The Peterbilt (ex-Volvo Dealer) in Texarkana I've spent 341$ for what tey called AC fixed.
So the high pressure hose between compressor and condenser was broken and they cutt the hose where was broken and inserted a 2.5$ metal pipe from NAPA. For that repair they asked me 341$. After they charged the system with freon I started the truck and the "repair" snapped againg loosing the freon. They asked me to pay again for freon and two more clamps. -

Man, yall are reminding me why I work on my own truck.
Got done putting a new clutch in it today. All it cost was the clutch and some time. glad im not messing with shops. -
Must be nice having the tools to drop a trans and replace the clutch yourself. Just had one put in mine along with a front trans seal it cost me $1900 ouch. I hope I can scratch enough cash together some day to have a decent little shop for my truck.

I have spent the better part of the last 10 years working really hard so I could get my shop, I got out of big trucks when the economy went south now im doing impounds repos and accidents, keeping the bills paid. I really want to get out on the road again though, the nice thing is having a shop I will be able to build my next truck exactly how I want it.
Check out www.steelbuildings.com I have delivered steel to thier factory before, they seem like they make a good product. I know for a 35x36' building with 18' celings they will charge you about 15,000 delivered. -
Man I saw a western star today at the loves t.s. in columbia TN. it had a detroit in it. it had so many hoses & other thing a ma jig's, all over the engine. I would not even know where to start to diagnos a problem with that new engine. I love my 95' ser 60 soooo simple to work on.
