Hazmat Re-certification

What do you mean free tests? Re-certification is just a background check. DMV should have a list of the places that do it in your state (area)It's not free unless your employer pays for it.

 

Just google hazmat practice test and a whole bunch of different sites come up. I did mine in Pa also a little over a year ago. Once you pass the test, you take your paperwork to the nearest State Police station and they'll fingerprint you and do the background check. Mine only took a day - I believe I took the test on a Tuesday and picked up my new license Thursday. The whole process was somewhere around $90 in Pa if I remember right..

 

Process works alittle different here in michigan. We need to go down to a office for electronic finger prints. Wait 30 days for the FBI/TSA clearance letter then take it to our local dmv office. Take the writen test and wait for our license to come in the mail.

 

same in NC, except the waiting for it in the mail. they do it right there

 

I wish we could get it right there we wait 2-4 weeks to get it. On our old one they clip the date corner and staple a paper with it. Thats you temp license.

pretty much the same in California - go to the TSA -affiliated agency, pay just under $100, get fingerprinted, wait 2-3 weeks for results . . .

 

If you are doing a Re cert why are you taking the Written again ?
VA you go get re fingerprinted, they send you a letter from the TSA Approved or Denied, take it to DMV get new DL, wait 5 days and A NEW asghole in plastic comes in the mail.

 

I renew mine a few months ago. Take a test and finger print for a back ground check.
