Transmission torque ratings

i ran a 16913 for over 1334000 miles with no trouble at all at 550 hp then went over 600 hp still no problem grossing an average of 130000 lbs dont be afraid uping hp as long as you dont hotrod it.

 

actually, the t2 on the end means it automatically shifts the top 2 gears, but I dont remember if it retains this function when you convert it to a 13.

thats what I thought, when you convert it over to 13 it does away with the auto t2, thanks fyda.

 

So my trans went out on my 99 pete379 and we replaced it with a reman trans. Matched the numbers and put it in but now my rpms are way higher. Any answers?

 

What model came out and what went in? Sounds like a possible scenario could be you now have a .87 instead of .73 final od? Are your rpms about 200 higher than before
