Meh, I've never been truly lost in chicago. However....I did it in NYC a couple of times and i was fine the first time, second time well...me and the truck and freight lived.
my gps doesnt have voice commands. volume is OFF forever.
I love to tell people i use it in NYC. They freak out and start yelling at me, even when i try to explain it to them. It shows me where i am compared to where i want to be. Im not stupid. I dont use the DIRECTIONS on it in nyc...
I only drive a 12' truck, lol
i guess ive never been to this part of chicago or nyc. -
Add a roo bar to your cab, and make a lane for your-self.. (or cattle bar)

Google street view rocks. It's not foolproof but it's nice to get an idea of the landmarks and to look at how tough the turns look.

Ive noticed that a lot of places that arent truck routes arent on there. It's almost like they're using a truck to take the pictures...So if its not on there and you have a suspicion....
