All is very good advice, my problem is i live in maine, i would love OTR, local, regional, hell i would go to the moon as long as i can get in a big rig, I can`t get the big, little, or medium sized companies to talk to me. I have a clean driving record since i was 16, which was a long time ago. I am really beginning to think us here in Maine must have the plague!
I got a cdl in 2008, never used it. can i still get a local job?

There is always some company out there local that will hire you without experience. But that company will probably be the worst one in town that everybody quits and always has ads for the position and pays 8 bucks n hour. But that is also how you get experience too. When applying to these local companies be sure to drop your resume at least once or twice every month. Bug the hell out of them. sooner or later you will get a bite.
Wagoneer88 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the advice, I will continue to do that. The good thing is I just need a job at this point I don't care what it pays. But If I could get back behind the wheel locally that would be amazing. Thanks again and be safe out there! -
it is good advice, i have been bugging local companies since 12/2009 and finally got a interview 2 days ago, i went there yesterday and passed the road test and DOT physical and drug test. and i looks like i am starting monday morning.
Just remember, you are there to get experience, the more experience i get, more doors will open for me. -
