I had an opportunity to meet Alex at a local Convoy for Kids. Pretty interesting guy to talk to and his dry humored one-liners aren't scripted.
As for Hugh, I'd run against him any day. He acts like he invented the concept of "Run'n Hard"
Don't get my started on his bone head employees Rick and Drew. Those two wouldn't lift a finger to help themselves.

surprisingly i ve seen quite few and always took a double look just to make sure i m seeing it right
-
thats good, i have not seen ANY. I still think Lisa was a ratings booster, "uh oh, they are onto us, we better throw in a good looking woman", ya know?
and yes, Alex does strike me as the ONE guy on there who actually knows his way around the truck, everyone else seems like an actor. -
If you haven't seen any then you're blind in one eye and can't see out the other! Go see a doctor! I've seen quite a few "lookers" driving a truck! Some should be gracing the pages of Playboy!
Not all of them look like a sweatpants and t-shirt driver, but yes sadly there are more than a few.
BUT MOST of the women drivers have a bigger set of danglies than a lot of the men out here! -
yeah, but i run a lot of goofy routes in the middle of nowhere, i dont get around other drivers much. I'm sure they are out there, but the last woman flatbedder i saw looked like Swamp Thing in denim. not sweats and t shirts, but just as fugly, lol......

Jack Jesse isn't an actor.
-
I think the gun that was shot was a cap type gun. I will look it up. Most of things done by the drivers then and now are done for the show.
They are all were drivers but once on the show are told what to do.
Yes they are getting better drivers to drive. Ie. Jack Jesse and i heard that there was going to be a law suit about no women working on the ice roads. So what do you get lisa not to bad of a pick for them to get. -
i have never seen a cap gun, or bb gun that looks like a ruger .22 pistol. it is unique looking, sort of like a luger, but i swear that that was what that guy was shooting out of his window that night.
and Jack Jesse is indeed an actor, as long as he is on the show. If he can drive a truck, great, but with all of their bs cliffhanger close calls, it is of my OPINION that they put special trucks rigged with camera's on lowboys and have a REAL driver putt them around so they can get realistic motion, and in the meantime REAL drivers are pulling these loads.
This is just my opinion, as they use some fairly basic and limited camera angles that never show the "drivers" actually piloting the truck down the road. You either get an inside the cab view, them working in securement, or A truck going down the road. Do i know that this is their truck? no I do not, and it does not seem like it would be that hard to film them inside the drivers side window driving their truck down the road, or even just leaving the yard. but it NEVER shows that. -
Most of us that had as many close calls as these guys, would've had very bad accident by now.
It's all just entertainment, that's it, dramatics.
But if asked, I'd do it.
-
If you pay attention the footage of the trucks going down the road is can footage. There have been times that a flatbed was a tanker, a tanker was
a refer, and so on.
Over all I love the show. To me it IS entertainment.
It is a TV reality show. It was not made for us, it is made for the general motoring public.
They dramatize everything. But it is fun to watch and catch the bad edits and the dumb ### things some of them do.
But it is TV edited buy someone in LA who has probably never been closer to a truck than the 101.
Lighten up and you will enjoy it more.
As a side note the DOT at that chicken House don't play. $160 bucks for a missing triangle. ####.end of the road Thanks this.
